Lt. Gomez, from the Salvadoran army, speaks with Staff Sgt. Hector Torres, the civil affairs officer for the 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade. Soldiers of the 130th MEB are supporting Guard units from around the country, including Air Force and Navy seabee units, for Operation Beyond the Horizon 2011. The 4-month-long civic assistance and training exercise is helping build local Salvadoran Infrastructure, give U.S. Soldiers valuable training and strengthen U.S.-Salvadoran relations.
