U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Oct. 19, 2017) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91) stand in ranks as the ship pulls alongside the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) to conduct a replenishment-at-sea. Pinckney is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
