Mock earthquake casualty, Sgt. Jose Ramirez, a transportation operator in the 420th Chemical Battalion, receives treatment during a joint exercise with the Washington National Guard, Summit Pacific Medical Center and Grays Harbor County, October 14, 2017. The simulated earthquake affected the Vertellus chemical plant in Elma, Washington, resulting in patients suffering from chemical contamination, giving Summit Pacific Hospital staff the opportunity to refine their decontamination skills.
