Sgt. Levi Swan, a crew chief with Company G, 3rd Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment, Maine Army National Guard performs maintenance checks on one of the unit’s UH-60 Blackhawks that will be used for any real –life medevac missions during Northern Strike, a National Guard Bureau- sponsored exercise in Michigan. The preflight check is one of the most important parts of the morning routine. With the incoming on-duty crew chiefs and pilots checking over the entire aircraft, they can check and address any issues that would cause a delay in services rendered during a medevac mission.
