Soldiers assigned to the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), participate in land navigation and Patrol training for the Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB) on Fort A.P. Hill, Va., Oct, 24, 2017. Land navigation and patrol lane tasks are just two of a number of skills infantryman must perfect in order to earn their Expert Infantryman Badge. Other skills include first aid training, weapon proficiency moving under direct fire, and a 12-mile foot march.
