NAS WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. (October 26, 2017) – Retired Navy Reserve Capt. James VanderHoek welcomed about 150 guests as keynote speaker during an A-3 Skywarrior memorial dedication ceremony held near NAS Whidbey Island's main gate October 26. VanderHoek emphasized the importance of the aircraft’s number “263” as symbolic of the 263 men who perished while serving their country in support of all Skywarrior missions worldwide.
