NAS WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. (October 26, 2017) – About 150 guests attended an A-3 Skywarrior memorial dedication ceremony held near NAS Whidbey Island's main gate October 26. The memorial is one of 15 intact A-3 aircraft displays in the United States and was championed by the A-3 Skywarrior Whidbey Memorial Foundation. “Personally, this memorial is special to me because the names of ten of my friends are on the pavers,” said Frank Cogdell, presenter at the ceremony and member of the A-3 Skywarrior foundation. “We all pay tribute and will forever remember and honor all those men,” he said.
