VIEQUES, Puerto Rico – Dr. Betzaida MacKenzíe, Medical Director for Centro de Salud Familiar Susana Centeno, carries a box containing insulin indoors to be placed in the hospital’s refrigeration unit. A logistic team from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services brought much needed medical equipment and supplies on Oct. 29 to the remote hospital serving the island located 8 miles off the Puerto Rican mainland’s eastern coast.
