Sgt. 1st Class Rachel Lyons, left, Staff Sgt. Braxton Pernice and Capt. Travis Lowe, all with 6th Battalion, 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade, are the first ever 1st SFAB Soldiers to graduate Pathfinder School Nov. 3 on Fort Benning, Ga., as part of class 001-18. The three 1st SFAB Soldiers were among 42 national and international service member students to graduate the course. As part of the course, students learned to navigate dismounted; establish and operate a day and night helicopter landing zone; establish and operate day and night Air Force computed air release point, Army ground marked release system, and Army verbally initiated release system drop zones; conduct sling load operations; and provide air traffic control and navigational assistance to rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft.
