Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 11, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, don proper protective equipment before using the Humvee Egress Assistance Trainer at Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 4. HEAT is a simulated vehicle that weighs more than 8,000 pounds and helps Marines improve their techniques safely exiting a vehicle and evacuating a wounded service member after a Humvee has flipped over or landed on its side. CLB-11 is preparing for its upcoming deployment with 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
