Spc. Virgil Nordlund, a carpenter with the 15th Engineer Battalion, leads the opening leg of the Army Reserve Birthday Run, April 23 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Nordlund, a native of Lapeere, Mich., was one of the first five soldiers to complete the 5K run. "It was a pretty good run. I think I performed pretty well; I’m trying to stay Army fit and ready,” said Nordlund. Third Army troops maintain a high state of readiness at all times, enabling them to fight anywhere, anytime.
