At an initial gathering of combined U.S. Marine and Romanian military forces, Lt. Col. Nelson S. Cardella, the commanding officer of Black Sea Rotational Force 11, along with other U.S. Marine leadership, meet with their counterparts from Romania militaries to plan, coordinate, and greet each other. The U.S. will be working with Romanian military as well as militaries from twelve other Eastern European nations to build partnerships, advise foreign militaries and promote regional stability.
