Sailors aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41) man the phone and distance line during a connected replenishment at sea with USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198). The Whidbey Island is part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, which deployed ahead of its original schedule in order to relieve units from the Kearsage Amphibious Ready Group in the Mediterranean.
