PACIFIC OCEAN (September 29, 2017) The Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Nebraska (SSBN 739) transits into open oceanduring an underway for training and proficiency. Nebraska is one of eight ballistic missile submarines stationed at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor and recently completed an extended major maintenance period, including an engineered refueling overhaul, at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
