At a non-commissioned officer symposium attended by six Eastern European nations, Master Gunnery Sgt. Donald Funkhouser, operations chief, Marine Corps Forces Europe and Afrida, talks with Romanian Master Sgt. Terebisi Florin, advisor to the commander of Romanian NCO Academies, during in between presentations about foreign military NCO structures and training. BSRF-11’s NCO Academy is a core group of Marines from the rank of corporal to first sergeant that will travel throughout the Black Sea, Balkan and Caucasus regions to work with Eastern European nations to exchange ideas, knowledge and develop the culture and skills of the NCO in participating nations.
