INDIAN OCEAN (Nov. 2, 2017) Indian Navy Ship INS Kadmatt (P29) approaches the fleet replenishment oiler USNS John Ericsson (T-AO 194) prior to conducting a replenishment-at-sea. The evolution was part of a demonstration of the new logistics exchange memorandum of agreement (LEMOA) between the U.S. and India. The LEMOA officially enables both countries to use the others logistical resources, supplies, and services on a reimbursable basis, and provides a framework to govern them.
