Staff Sgt. Maurice Kelley, a bassist with the 36th Infantry Division Band and a 40-year-old native of Sedalia, Mo., and Sgt. Charles Fricker, a percussionist and a 39-year-old native of Philadelphia, practice some songs for the band’s jazz ensemble. The two soldiers were recently notified they had been chosen to receive prestigious awards from the School of Music, the military occupational skill school for band members of all branches of service band members.
