171125-N-ZS023-019 ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 25, 2017) Information Systems Technician 3rd Class Ashley Adams, a Houston native, assigned to the command, control, computers, communications, combat systems, and intelligence department aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), troubleshoots a server in the data processing room. America is the flagship for the America Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th MEU, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
