SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2017) – (Left to right) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Sean Pope, Builder 1st Class Anthony Cabrera and Builder 2nd Class Brian Hawkins, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, updates NMCB 4 Operations Officer, Lt. Cmdr. Joseph Charles (center) on the progress of the Public Works Pre-Engineering Building (PEB) project. Cabrera discusses the current progress, highlighting safety and quality control implementation throughout the process. Hawkins and Pope detail the work in place (WIP) and plans for upcoming critical phases of the project. NMCB 4 Seabees are building the PEB to provide a critical storage need to the naval base facility, enabling them to keep critical equipment out of the weather, increasing longevity and availability while gaining valuable training to enhance Major Combat Operation response readiness.
