An MV-22B Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 lifts up to the air as Marines throw a thick rope from the Osprey’s back hatch at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, November 28, 2017. Marines learned how to assist each other in descending a fast rope out of a MV-22B Osprey. Fast roping is a suitable way of inserting into an area of operation when landing an aircraft is not feasible. The Osprey belongs to VMM-262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.
