U.S. Navy Lt. Travis Harrell, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa Expeditionary Medical Facility staff physician, examines and treats a patient's abscess April 30 at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Djibouti. About 20 medical volunteers visit the church weekly to provide basic wound-care services, such as: cleaning and dressing wounds performing minor procedures and in some cases prescribing antibiotics and pain medication.
