GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Dec. 12, 2017) – Recruits simulate delivering an injured shipmate to a battle dressing station following a mass casualty training evolution at USS Trayer (BST-21). BST-21, or Battle Stations, is the capstone event that recruits must pass prior to graduation, testing their knowledge and skills in basic seamanship, damage control, firefighting, and emergency response procedures. Approximately 30,000-40,000 recruits graduate annually from Recruit Training Command. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Amanda S. Kitchner/Released)
