U.S. Air Force Maj. Scott Schavrien, C-130J Super Hercules instructor pilot with 36th Airlift Squadron, discusses the upcoming airdrop over Murilo Atoll with Capt. Quinn Van Drew, first pilot, both assigned to the 36th Airlift Squadron, during Operation Christmas Drop flight Dec. 15, 2017, over the Pacific Ocean near Guam. Every December, C-130 aircrews from Yokota Air Base head to Andersen AFB. From there, they deliver donated food, supplies, educational materials and toys to remote Pacific islands throughout the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, Federated States of Micronesia, and Republic of Palau.
