John Thompson, commander of the Space and Missile Systems Center and Air Force program executive officer for space at Los Angeles Air Force Base and other servicemembers from the U.S. Armed Forces salute during the playing of the National Anthem.
The Rose Bowl -- known in sports circles as the "Grandaddy of them All" -- featured a College Football Playoff semifinal between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Georgia Bulldogs in Pasadena, Calif., Jan. 1, 2018.
