Aviation electronics technician 3rd Class Shannan Foley, assigned to the Navy Provisional Detainee Battalion, plays with an Iraqi child as he waits at the Camp Bucca Visitors Center to see a relative who is being detained at the Theater Internment Facility. In addition to guaranteed due process reviews, access to 24-hour medical care and culturally appropriate meals, detainees are authorized to receive family visits. Foley is a Navy individual augmentee from the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department at Naval Base Coronado. More than 400 Sailors from 254 commands worldwide make up the Navy Provisional Detainee Battalion.
