WHITE BEACH, Okinawa (Jan. 31, 2018) Seaman Luis Linares uses a sound-powered phone during sea and anchor detail aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as the ship arrives to White Beach Naval Facility to embark Marines of the 3d Marine Division (MARDIV). During the visit, the ship will embark 3d MARDIV personnel, vehicles and equipment, prior to continuing a scheduled patrol. Bonhomme Richard is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region as part of a regularly scheduled patrol and provides a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
