U.S. Marines with Alpha Company, 3rd Assault Amphibious Battalion steer their amphibious assault vehicle towards the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) near White Beach, Okinawa Japan, Feb. 3, 2018. The California based battalion boarded the ship to participate in Exercise Cobra Gold 18. Cobra Gold 18 provides a venue for both United States and partner nations to advance interoperability and increase partner capacity in planning and executing complex and realistic multinational force and combined task force operations.
