MAYAGÜEZ, Puerto Rico, January 19, 2018 - Home was seriously damaged when the Río Grande de Añasco and the storm surge caused by Hurricane María, flooded El Maní in Mayagüez. New flood hazard areas have been identified in Puerto Rico, and the information has been used to generate Advisory Maps, to better understand flood risk. It will serve as a tool for National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Communities to provide survivors with access to a range of flood hazard products to prevent flood damages. FEMA/Yuisa Ríos
