Master Sgt. Elizabeth Rivera, the master of ceremony for an observance day ceremony held June 14, 2011 at the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan, introduces the arrival of the official party. Approximately 200 soldiers and coalition forces attended the ceremony to celebrate the U.S. Army's 236th birthday. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin L. Hill, the Command Sergeant Major of the ISAF and U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, spoke about past and present history of today's Army and the importance of the annual observance.
