Marines from 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion receive instructions about the proper way to roll an opponent off themselves in a hand-to-hand fight during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program at Camp Pendleton, June 15. Throughout the course the students practice and rehearse techniques to ensure they are capable of performing each move. MCMAP is designed to increase the Marines self-defense abilities at close ranges and to ensure Marines have the upper hand in close combat situations.
