A team of U.S. airmen construct a new playground Sunday, June 19, 2011, in the Surinamese District of Nieuw Amsterdam, as part of the New Horizons training exercise. This playground is the first in a series of four that will be constructed for the children of Suriname during the exercise. New Horizons is a cooperative humanitarian training exercise between the Suriname government and the United States Southern Command with the goal of helping to improve the quality of life for the people of Suriname.
