YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 7, 2018) Engineman 3rd Class Hunter Olson, from North Field, Wis., uses a Navy Firefighters Thermal Imager (NFTI) to check for hotspots during a main space fire drill aboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). NFTI cameras operate using infrared red imaging to penetrate smoke filled spaces in order to locate downed personnel or obscured fires. Blue Ridge and her crew have now entered a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations.
