Sgt. 1st Class Adam Nash, 75th Ranger Regiment, crawls through a mud filled pit under barbed wire during the first day of the 2007 Lt. Gen. David E. Grange Best Ranger Competition. Nash, a native of Hyannis, Mass., who won the competition in 2004, is partnered with Sgt. 1st Class Billy Pouliot. The three-day continuous competition will take the competitors over 60 miles by foot carrying backpacks weighing nearly 85 lbs.
