Sgt. 1st Class Willie Woods, 6th Ranger Training Battalion, emerges from a mud-filled pit from where he crawled approximately 50 yards under barbed wire as part of the 2007 Lt. Gen. David E. Grange Best Ranger Competition. The Augusta, Ga., native and his partner Staff Sgt. Michael Pickens from Buffalo, Mo., are among the 39 teams competing in the non-stop, three-day event which carries them over 60 miles by foot.
