North Carolina National Guard soldiers with A Company, 4-118th Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, don their protective masks during Nuclear Biological and Chemical (NBC) familiarization while operating a M1A1 Abrams tank at McCrady Training Center, South Carolina, on Mar. 16, 2018. The M50 General Purpose Mask is a new replacement for the M40 protective mask, and it provides 24 hours of above-the-neck protection against chemical agents, and radioactive particles.
