Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Sarah Sommer, Joint Mortuary Affairs Center (JMAC) instructor, watches as Army Pvt. Hayley Montgomery and Marine Corps Pfc. Kevin Dunlap build a ramp into the administrative area of a Mobile Integrated Remains Collection System (MIRCS) Mar. 23 at JMAC, The Quartermaster School, Fort Lee, Va. When needed, MIRCS can be assembled in the field and become operational in approximately 30 minutes. Upon graduation from the seven-week course, the students will become either Army mortuary affairs specialists or Marine Corps personnel retrieval and processing specialists.
