Sailors from Riverine Squadron 3 and marines from the Royal Netherlands marine corps paddle an inflatable boat during a six kilometer amphibious march along the island of Curacao, July 5. The amphibious march consists of a jump off a cliff into the water, a four kilometer paddle in inflatable boats, followed by a two kilometer swim. Sailors from RIVRON 3 are cross-training with elements of the Royal Netherlands marine corps and navy for a three-week training course designed to familiarize U.S. Navy Riverines with Dutch ship to shore amphibious operations.
