(April 2, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Oscar Hernandez, a native of La Cresenta, Calif., assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5 (ACU 5), directs a medium tactical vehicle replacement (MTVR) off a landing craft air cushion (LCAC), during an amphibious squadron and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and 13th MEU, which allows Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
