Brig. Gen. Shane Buzza, Deputy Commanding General, 84th Training Command presents the Congressional Gold Medal to a Filipino American WWII veteran, April 7, 2018 at the Presidio of San Francisco. The Filipino Veterans of World War II Congressional Gold Medal Act (Public Law 114-265) was signed into law by President Barak Obama in Dec. 2016 recognizing the over 260,000 Filipino and Filipino-American Soldiers who bravely fought for freedom under the American Flag.
