FORWARD OPERATING BASE ZEEBRUGGE, Helmand province, Afghanistan —Lance Cpl. Leo Ostrolencki, a Grandview, Mo., native, holds the end of the national ensign after it is taken down for the afternoon. Ostrolencki, who is a field artillery radar operator with Echo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, lowers the flag every day as part of his responsibilities as a Sergeant of the Guard.
