180417-N-YJ378-0019 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 17, 2018) An inspector from the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) checks the safety features on float jackets in the main vehicle storage area of San Antonio-class transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Anchorage is underway with INSURV, which conducts material inspections of all naval ships at least once every five years, for the purpose of determining and reporting upon a ship’s fitness for further service.
