180417-N-AZ808-2148 SOUTH CHINA SEA (April 17, 2018) Damage Controlman 3rd Class Albert Yanez, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97), uses a Naval Firefighting Thermal Imager to detect hot spots during a damage control training team drill. Halsey is currently underway with the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group on a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
