180424-N-WF272-098 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 24, 2018) Aviation Electronics Technician 3rd Class Michael Hoerr, from Pittsburgh, assigned to the “Sea Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC 22), unfolds the rotor blades of an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter prior to flight operations on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard, which had been forward-deployed since 2012 as the Amphibious Force 7th Fleet flagship, is transiting to San Diego as part of a homeport change and where it is scheduled to undergo upgrades to operate the F-35B Lightning II.
