180424-N-WF272-177 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 24, 2018) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Richard Moomey, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, signals to launch an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the “Sea Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC 22), during flight operations aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard, which had been forward-deployed since 2012 as the Amphibious Force 7th Fleet flagship, is transiting to San Diego as part of a homeport change and where it is scheduled to undergo upgrades to operate the F-35B Lightning II.
