CERDEC’s Expeditionary Command Post Capability project personnel are putting the finishing touches on the Command Post Platform – Improved demonstrator, an on-the-move capability that supports an entire brigade’s server needs. Engineers collaborated with industry to design and test a novel cooling solution that would allow the servers to operate from inside the vehicle. Using a thermal imaging camera, Kyle Swisher, CERDEC engineer, measures the servers’ heat output on Dec. 6 to identify hot spots and assess cooling efficiency at CERDEC’s C4ISR Prototype Integration Facility, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
