(May. 3, 2018) The official party salutes the colors during the change of command ceremony for Commander, Submarine Squadron (COMSUBRON) 12 onboard the Los Angeles-class, nuclear-powered, fast-attack submarine USS San Juan (SSN-751) at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Conn., Thursday, May 3. Capt. David Youtt relieved Capt. Ollie Lewis as the commander of COMSUBRON 12. The mission of COMSUBRON 12 is to provide attack submarines that are ready, willing, and able to meet the unique challenges of undersea combat and deployed operations in the unforgiving environments across the globe.
