A Green Beret assigned to 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), accepts the Bronze Star with Valor on behalf of Sgt. 1st Class Mihail Golin during a ceremony at Fort Carson, Colorado, May 2nd, 2018. Golin was killed in action on Jan. 1, 2018 during a deployment to Afghanistan in support of the Resolute Support Mission. In total, more than 60 valorous medals were awarded to Green Berets assigned to 2nd Battalion during their six-month deployment, including four Silver Stars. (Photo illustration by Staff Sgt.
