Edith Wagner, an Army and Air Force Exchange Service sales associate at the Military Clothing Sales Store, adjusts the new Improved Physical Fitness Uniform (IPFU) in August 2000 at Fort McCoy, Wis. The IPFU was being issued to initial-entry active-duty personnel and went on sale Aug. 15, 2000, Armywide to all active-duty personnel. The black lettering and accents on the uniform had a reflective coating that appeared silver in bright light, making it easier to spot Soldiers in dark conditions. (U.S. Army photo by Rob Schuette)
