Michael Henderson, a resident of San Antonio, looks at one of the displays May 5 inside the Fort Sam Houston Museum, which was one of the stops during the hourly historic tours as part of Military Appreciation Weekend at Fort Sam Houston. The weekend commemorated San Antonio’s unique history between the city and military efforts in an event that was open to the public. The museum is nestled inside of the historic Quadrangle. “I really enjoyed learning about the history of Fort Sam Houston and its relationship to the City of San Antonio,” said Henderson.
