Sgt. 1st Class Franklin White, master gunner with 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division's 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, double checks the sites of a Howitzer during cannon crew recertification training at Camp Ramadi, Iraq, July 31. White is grading the crew members on their ability to secure an area, assemble the gun, and conduct fire missions. All 16 crews in the battalion must recertify every six months to keep their skills sharp and, if necessary, provide accurate fire support. White is a native of Greensboro, N.C.
